Weddings

Whether you require music for the ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast, a string quartet can add the perfect touch to your wedding day.

We are very experienced at selecting music to create the right atmosphere, and keep the guests entertained. We would be delighted to discuss the choice of music in advance, and give helpful advice to ensure that your wedding is both memorable and unique.

We have a very good understanding of the unique service that is required at a wedding, and understand that weddings do not always run to schedule and are flexible on the day.

The most common format for weddings is as follows:

Ceremony

Music before the ceremony, as the guests arrive.
Processional - during which the quartet performs a specially selected piece of music.
Signing of the register - the quartet play appropriate background music.
Recessional - a lively piece of music specially selected.

Drinks, reception and meal

The quartet is able to play a range of music to entertain the guests. We can play from a selection of light classical and popular music. Repertoire list.

The quartet is happy to travel to another venue if needed. We often play outdoors during the drinks reception, but some of our instruments are 200 years old or more, and can't be exposed to direct sunlight. In the event of rain we would have to move indoors.

The above suggestions are only guidelines. Each wedding is individual and unique, and the choice of music is central to this. If a piece of music you require is not on our repertoire list, we can normally obtain a copy at no extra charge, given sufficient notice.
